We are sad to announce that on October 2, 2022, at the age of 92, Dorothy Nancy Valland of Colton, South Dakota, born in Kimball, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Peterson and Almeda Peterson (Corr); her husband Myron A. "Mike" Valland; and her siblings, Don Peterson, Charles Peterson and Mary Jane Chesley Malone (Peterson).
She is survived by : her children, Sioux Falls, Dorothy, Steve Valland (Carol) of Pierre, SD, Nancy Schmidt (Kent) of Manassas, VA and Todd Valland (Cissy Buhler) of Phoenix, AZ; her sister Evelyn Wilkinson; and her sister-in-law Mary Ann Peterson. She is also survived by six grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to Orpheum Theater Center, Sioux Falls Community Playhouse.
