She was predeceased by: her mother Dorothy Boen; her stepfather Jerome Boen; her father Harry Ward; her husband George "Terry" Aartun; and her brother Dale Nelson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cheri Aartun of Colton, SD, Jill Simon (Dean) of Brandon, SD and Ruth Raveling (Eric) of Pierre, SD; and her grandson Colin Simon of Brandon, SD.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Colton Fire Department.
