James Zeck Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Zeck of Conde, South Dakota, who passed away on April 30, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo "Ted" Zeck and Tracy Zeck (Lehna); his siblings, Shirley Schulz (Stanley), Robert Zeck and Darrell Zeck; his brothers-in-law, Jim Schulz, Stanley Schulz, William Morton and Wayne McGuire; and his granddaughter Kayley Joy Zeck.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Morton of Conde; his sons, James "Jim" Zeck (Karla) of Sioux Falls, Richard Zeck of Brooklyn Center, MN, Harlan Place (Peggy) of Conde and Donald Klapperich of Apple Valley, MN; his grandchildren, Addison James Zeck (Saige), Carter Richard Zeck (Alexi), Foster Richard Zeck and Sheridan Zeck (Caroline); his great grandchildren, Elias James Khoury and Rosemary Ann Zeck; his sisters, Lyla Dewey of Butler and Patricia Schulz Schiley (Austin) of Lily; and his sisters-in-law, Judith Zeck of Conde, Bonnie McGuire of Belvidere, IL and Darlene Morton of Conde. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (906 N 1st St, Groton, SD 57445). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Conde City Cemetery (165 2nd St, Conde, SD 57434).
