He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wieman and Margaret Wieman (Sorenson); and his brother George (Elaine). He is survived by: his wife Elaine Emery; his children, Kathryn Wieman of Carver, MN, Kelli Merry (John) of Sioux Falls, Scott Wieman (Kristin) of Crooks and Steve Wieman (Melanie) of Eden Prairie, MN; his grandchildren, Andy Merry (Mallery), Michael Merry (Morgan), Mason Wieman (Jordynn Schumacher), Preston Wieman (Lisa Koopman) and Alice Wieman; his great grandchildren, Elaina Merry, Madison Merry and Marvin; and his brother-in-law Bob Emery (Lila Langloss).
