She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter J. Ritchie and Hazel S. Ritchie (Keffeler); her husband James W. Emery (Jim); and her sisters, Dolores Ritchie and Barbara Kriz.
She is survived by: her son David Emery (Deanna) of Rapid City; and her grandsons, Brandon Emery (Sydney Whitmarsh) of Custer and Ryan Emery (Isabelle Melmer). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A memorial has been established for the Custer YMCA.
