We bid farewell to John Michael Burke of Custer, South Dakota, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 15, 2024 at the age of 66. John Michael touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Thomas Burke (Mother Lorraine Burke Beachler) and Lorraine Burke; his siblings, Joyce Satterfield, Patrick and Mark Burke; his sister-in-law Lynette Burke; his nephew Justin Burke; his daughter Michelle Chase; his son-in-law Robert Baily (Rapid City); and his siblings, Thomas Burke (Custer) and Kathaleen Asad Forest (Doug).

A wake was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (449 Harney St, Custer, SD 57730). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
