He was predeceased by: his parents, William Young and Lorene Young (Neville); his sister-in-law Nancy Maynard; his son-in-law Stacey Bauer; and his niece Kim Miiller (Maynard).
He is survived by: his wife Linda Poe; his children, Tracy Bauer of Rapid City, SD, Christy Mettler (Miles) of Colorado Springs, CO, Kathy Young (Bill Schaefer) of Custer, SD and Steve Young (Tara) of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Austin, Chandler (Olivia) and Logan Bauer; his children, Zachary, Maria Kedge (Aric), Matthew (Meghan), Anna Mettler, Jessica Goth (Matt), Katelyn Fritz (Graydon), Jordyn Larsen (Kyle Virtue), Will, Jonah, Lucas and Ellie Young; his brother Mark Young of Sioux Falls, SD; and his brother-in-law Frank Maynard of Hot Springs, SD. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and several nephews.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to the Pringle Fire Department and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church to be directed toward a new and expanded gathering area.
