With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Dean Dickson of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, born in Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on April 27, 2022 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Theodore Dickson (Ted) and Ruth Dickson (Nichols); his brothers-in-law, George Dorhout and Forey James; and his nephew Curtis Dorhout.
He is survived by : his wife Mavis Dickson of Akron, IA; his children, Jamey Dickson (Jamie Modlin), Justin Dickson (Kristy) and Jana Johnston (Jeff); his siblings, Ron Dickson (Betty) and Sandy Pietrusiewicz (John); his sisters-in-law, Judy Dorhout, Shirlene Madsen (Larry), Marylou James and Pat Harris (Roger); and his grandchildren, JD, Scott, Aubrey, Landon, Macie and Brekken. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
