He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lynn Ness Sr. (Jane) and Kay Constance Gordon (Dale). He is survived by: his son Jared Ness; his daughter-in-law Sarah Ness; his grandson Noah Ness; his daughter Jena Annicelli; his son-in-law Nicholas Annicelli; his granddaughter Liliana Annicelli; his friend Joshua Meyer (Kayla); his siblings, Sherry Johnson (Gary), Toni Fjerestad (Shon), Nichole Quist (Jon), Dean Stenjem (Julie), Dale Gordon (Darcey) and Edward Ness (Melinda); his uncle Donnie Ness (Ruby); and his pet Mazi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 5:00 PM at 808 Swan Lake Dr, Viborg, SD 57070.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to his children for funeral expenses.
