She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Lembke and Katherine Lembke (Husman); her brother Roger Lembke; and her grandson Christopher Janssen. She is survived by: her husband John Pitman; her children, Connie Johnson, Christine Pfeifer (Chuck) and Craig Pitman; and her grandchildren, Shauna Huntimer (Casey), Chad Pfeifer, Clay Pfeifer (Elizabeth), Carlie Gunderson (Tyler), John Pitman (Karissa) and Sarah Kuhl (Sawyer). She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel (208 3rd St SW, De Smet, SD 57231). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (512 3rd St SW, De Smet, SD 57231).
