She was predeceased by : her parents, Dr. Earl Fountain and Vivian Fountain (Hoffman); her husband Norman Steen; her son John; her granddaughter Melanie Geyer; her parents-in-law, John and Thelma Steen; and her brothers-in-law, George Swain and Allen Foster.
She is survived by : her children, Gary Steen (Rose) of Watertown, SD, Connie Geyer (Sam) of De Smet, SD and Janet Schinderling of Huron, SD; her grandchildren, Dr. Lisa Miller, Rachel Reihe (Mark), Mathew Scott, Daniel Fritz (Toni), Heather Sisson (Sage), Meridith Popovic (Ryan), David Geyer (Karie), Douglas Geyer, Jennifer Urbach, Alan Brown (Stephanie), Theresa Brown (Mike Cameron), Thomas Schinderling (Jeanna) and Michael Schinderling (Richard Bidmead); her great grandchildren, Garet, Ethan, Owen, Anne, Keagan, Emma, Dari, Kenley, Syri, Charley, Teddy, Paisley, Hadley, Mahree, Reed, Raymond, Grant, Cody, Lexy, Logan and Parker; her sister Daphane Swain of Bagley, MN; her sisters-in-law, Claryce Foster, Carolyn Smith (Leo) and Helen Bailey (Don); her sons-in-law, Rondo Brown and Mahlon Schinderling; and also, Alan Brown, David Geyer, Mathew Scott, Thomas Schinderling, Daniel Fritz, Mike Schinderling, Douglas Geyer, Dr. Lisa Miller, Rachel Reihe, Heather Sisson, Jennifer Urbach and Theresa Brown.
