He was predeceased by: his parents, James Weldon Brents and Sarah Francis Neff (Woodley); and his siblings, Kevin Neff, Dessal Neff and Debra Ellen Brents.
He is survived by: his children, Jaime Brents, Robert Brents (DeeAnne), Shawn Brents, Chad Brents (Ali) and Sarah Brents (Brian); and his stepsons, Jason Orelup (Kris) and Todd Orelup. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
