He is survived by: his parents, Melvin Petersen and Virginia Petersen (Swolley); his spouse Shannon Nicholson (Musfeldt); his children, Cole and Brooke Petersen (Seth); his grandchildren, Talan, Tayvyn and Tayzlee; his sons, Lucas Smith-Petersen and Matthew Smith-Petersen (Morgan); his grandson Cole Petersen (Breanna); his great grandchild Piper; his pet Diesel; his siblings, Melvin Petersen Jr. (Linda), JoAnn James, Rodney Petersen (Mona), David Petersen (Jodi), Scott Petersen, Judy Sandbothe (Bill), Kenny Petersen (Amy) and Dennis Petersen (Karla); Lucas and Matthew.
