The family announces the passing of Alberta Stoneback of Dell Rapids, South Dakota on August 23, 2026. Alberta, born on December 3, 1920, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ina Surdez (Selby) and Albert Surdez; her spouse Vern Stoneback; her brothers, Milburn, Cecil and Arlyn Surdez; her daughter Sharon Wofford; and her granddaughter Marie.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kay Titus (Tom) of Chandler, AZ, Debbie Crisp (Ken) of Baltic and Diana Jones (Darrel) of Dell Rapids; and her grandchildren, Michele, Jason (Veronica), Joshua (Milena), Jessica, Cory (Kate), Erin (Scott), Tom (Emilie) and Tiffany (Ned). She is also survived by her 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church (505 E 5th St, Dell Rapids, SD 57022). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
