She was predeceased by: her parents, William Krogman and Alma Krogman; her husband Vernon D. Heyer of Colman, SD; her siblings, Fern Pedersen, Shirley Chamley, William and Roger Krogman; her nephews, Robert, Douglas Pedersen and William Krogman, Jr.; and her niece Marsha Ustanko.
She is survived by: her son Bruce Heyer (Valerie); her grandson William Heyer of Minneapolis, MN.; her sister Elaine Hammer (Ron); her sister-in-law Mary Krogman of Custer, SD.; and her godchildren, Les Pedersen, Mike, Travis, Alex Ustanko, Stephinie Rodriguez and Jack Wolfhorse. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Skroch Funeral Chapel (409 E 2nd Ave, Flandreau, SD 57028). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Second Presbyterian Church (101 N Prairie St, Flandreau, SD 57028).
