We announce the death of Steve Ahrendt of Dell Rapids, South Dakota, born in Jasper, Minnesota, who passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 76. Steve will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwayne "Dud" Ahrendt and Mildred Kampa Ahrendt; his nephew David Ahrendt; his siblings-in-law, Pam Ahrendt and Mike Bullerman; and his close friend Kevin Benson.
He is survived by: his children, Amber (Dave) of Dell Rapids, SD, Audrey (Jeff) of Dell Rapids, SD and Andrew (Emily) of Dell Rapids, SD; his grandchildren, Stella, Raegan, Reese, Ryder, Brooks and Presley; and his siblings, Danny Ahrendt of Trent, SD and Toni Bullerman (Ravae Benson) of Adrian, MN. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
