She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Wermers and Eleanor Wermers (Hohn); her husband Norbert H. Thury; her son Robert; her children-in-law, Lana and Todd Person; her siblings, Gerald (Dottie Wermers), John (Lois Wermers), Helen (Louis Thury), Joan (Casper Fergen) and Mary Smith; and her brother-in-law Tom Lichter.
She is survived by: her daughter Carol Person of Sioux Falls, SD; her granddaughters, Andrea Thury-Castro (Dominic) of Albuquerque, NM and Katelyn Watson (Christopher) of Lincoln, NE; her great grandchildren, Olivia Castro, Theodore Watson and Philippa Watson; her siblings, Alice Lichter of Mitchell, Elinor Finkenbiner (Dwain) of Rapid City and Lyle Wermers (Eunice) of Newport News, VA; and her brother-in-law Jim Smith of Mt. Pleasant, WI.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Christ the King Parish.
