We are sad to announce that on September 25, 2022, at the age of 73, James Ernest Maupin of Eagle Butte, South Dakota, born in Pierre, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas J. Maupin and Christine Maupin of Eagle Butte, SD.; and his siblings, Thurman McKinney, John Walter Maupin and Peggy Symonds.

He is survived by : his sons, Thomas and Charles of Sturgis, SD; his wife Chris Kinghorn; his daughter-in-law Rebecca; his grandchildren, Thomas of Sundance, WY and Riley of Sundance, WY; and his brother Baine Maupin of Buffalo, SD. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
