He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. Dunsmore and Pansy McBride Dunsmore; his grandparents, Moses, Bessie McBride, William and Amy Dunsmore; and his brothers, Merle Sargeant (Ethelyn), Ted Sargeant (Iris), Kermit Sargeant, Ivan Sargeant (MaryLee), Francis Martinez and Droop Drapeau.
He is survived by: his grandson Anobie; his wife Monalisa; his children, Kristan (Silas) of Eagle Butte, Jesselyn (Sunny) of Sisseton, Kelli (Tyson) of Ballard, UT and Young Guns Mervin Hill Jr. of Eagle Butte; his siblings, George La Mont of Rapid City and April Pohawpatchoko of Lawton, OK; his grandchildren, Anahla, Anika Knife, Nasir, Neo Zephier and Sonja Thompson; and his aunt Reva Griffth. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.
