He was predeceased by : his wife Sammie; his sons, David Wayne and Sam Edward; his siblings, Betty, Murial, Penny and Bob; and his parents, Sam and Helen.

He is survived by : his children, Jennifer (Ray), Michael (Jamie) and Penelope (Helana); his grandchildren, Tim (Kristine), Kassandra (Christopher), Katrina (Andrew) and Anthony; his daughter-in-law Gretchen; and his pets, Andy and Nemo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
