He was predeceased by: his mother Josephine Dudley (Bourissau); his wife Joy; his grandparents, William, Bessie Bourissau (Glass), David Pteode Dudley (Hunts Buffalo) and Emma Dudley (Wise Boy); his siblings, Phillip Dudley, Dorothy Cotton, Joseph Dudley and Ramona Burroughs; his sister-in-law Eva Dudley; his sons, David, James and Joe; and his grandson Isaac.

He is survived by: his children, Connie Brown (Ernest) of Kansas City, MO, Debbie Dudley of Fort Yates, ND, Phillip Dudley of Flandreau, SD, Robin Stock (Lloyd) of Brookings, SD and William Dudley (Lindsey) of Missoula, MT.; his grandchildren, David Brown (Kyra) of Kansas City, MO, Joy Wagner (Brian) of Kansas City, MO, Chelsie Brown of Kansas City, MO, Ken Staab Jr. of Colman, SD, Christopher Staab (Siera) of Volga, SD, Caleb Staab (Britney) of Brookings, SD, Cory Staab (Dani) of Rapid City, SD, Kassie Staab (Anthony) of Brookings, SD, Chad Thin Elk (Ashlyn) of Flandreau, SD and James Dudley of Missoula, MT.; his great grandchildren, Kirby, Kelsea, Kyndal, Kariah, Malcolm, Brooklynn, Zander, Zaviar of Amelia, CJ, Ava, Isabell, Isaac, Andre, Eric, Kyla-Rey, Steven, Luka, Vera, Arlo, Leia and Prince; and his great great grandchildren, Malcolm Jr. and Rilynn.

He built a bar in the backyard, the "Donation Bar.".
