With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David L. Geary of Elk Point, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 17, 2026 at the age of 68. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact David had on those he encountered along his journey. Though David may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Geary and Lititia Geary (Chicoine); his brothers, Doug and Bill; and his siblings-in-law, Gene Learned and Eleanor Geary.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Rosenbaum; his stepdaughter Charity Rosenbaum; his siblings, Roger Geary (Emma) of Merrill, IA, Jim Geary (Linda), Linda Baird (Mike) of Moville, IA and Nancy Learned of Clive, IA; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Geary of Elk Point, SD. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
