He was predeceased by: his parents, Amanda Olson and Leo Donnelly; and his siblings, Robert and Rosemary. He is survived by: his wife Lynne Chaussee; his children, Tony Donnelly (Melissa) of Elk Point and Susan Wasley (Emery) of Vermillion; his sisters, Norma Davis and Margaret Peterson (Wally); and his grandchildren, Jake, Jason, Jared, Tasha, Katarina, Christian, Matthew, Liz and Thomas. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
