With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Helen Johnson (Estelline, South Dakota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2025 at the age of 97. Though Helen may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Halvor Lee and Gunhild Lee; her husband Arnold Johnson; and her siblings, Carrie Fredrickson, George Lee and John Lee.
She is survived by: her close friend Arnold LeRoy Johnson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Geise Funeral Chapel (210 Bell Ave, Estelline, SD 57234). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (46997 188th St, Estelline, SD 57234).
