We are sad to announce that on March 27, 2023, at the age of 94, Verna Rose Schock of Eureka, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Jacob and Katherina (Koerner); her siblings, Ida Jahraus (Henry), Sophie Schumacher, Arthur Schumacher (Esther), Adolph Schumacher, Mathilda Bahnson (Lynn), Edmund Schumacher (Arvilla), Hildegard Gugel (Julius) and Henry Schumacher (Laura); her parents-in-law, Jacob and Christine Schock; and her sister-in-law Irene Weixel (Harold).

She is survived by : her husband Raymond Schock; her children, Kathryn (Mike), Brumbaugh and Gregory Schock (Virginia); her grandchild Cameron Schock (Amy); her great grandchildren, Alexis and Abigail; her grandson Christopher Schock (Alana); her great grandchild Haley; her stepgrandsons, Chad Adam and Sam Baaklini; and also, Xeniah and Ezra.

The family prefers donations to Eureka Zion American Lutheran Church or the Avera Eureka Health Care Center.
