She was predeceased by: her parents, John Boon and Mary Vander Boon (Vander Waal); her husband Henry Groen; her siblings, Sarah Key (Jerry), Orie Vander Boon (Laurena), John Vander Boon, Lena Van Ravenswaay (Adrian), Fred Vlastuin, Sybil Van Veldhuizen (Cornie), Ada Rozeboom (Teunis), Cornie Boon and Joey Vander Boon; and her fathers-in-law, Bill Wallenberg (Della), Clarence Groen (Pearl), John Groen (Jeanette) and Paul Groen (Angeline).
She is survived by: her daughters, Alice Etler (Donald), Janet Groen of Sheldon and Cheryl Schelling (Matthew) of Orange City, Iowa; her grandchildren, Paul (Stephanie) of Orange City, John Etler (Becca) of Des Moines, Stanton Schelling (Ashley) of Hull, Sarah Van Surksum (Calvin) of Rock Valley, Michael Etler of Ankeny, Melinda Vander Waal (Treyton) of Hospers and Allison Schelling of Orange City, Iowa; and her siblings, Margaret Vander Boon, Ann Vlastuin, Bernice Van Veldhuizen, Marie Rozeboom (Gerrit), Connie Brown (Ed) and Abe Vander Boon (Sandy) of Ada, Michigan.. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Disaster Fund of the Netherlands Reformed Congregation or the Canton-Inwood Area Health Foundation.
