It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Brett Johanson of Flandreau, South Dakota, who passed away on May 9, 2025, at the age of 37, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Bob, Sally Johanson and Gary Nass. He is survived by: his parents, Brett Johanson and Kim Johanson (Nass); his children, Brynn Kimberly, Tinley Jane, Brett Matthew and Gannon Rae; his siblings, Paige Johanson, Brooke Johanson, Wagner, Kelly Johanson (Jordan Hanssen) and Lane Johanson; his nieces and nephews, Veda, Griffey Wagner, Trenton and Porter Wade; his grandmother Helen Nass (Ron Hexum); and his aunts and uncles, Mike, Pam Nass, Marla, Gary Lang, Deb Johanson, Jodi Johanson, Craig, Randy and Kathy Johanson (Dietrich).
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Skroch Funeral Chapel (409 E 2nd Ave, Flandreau, SD 57028). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church (505 S Wind St, Flandreau, SD 57028).
