He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Reaves and Adah Reaves (Eakins); his wife Lorraine; his grandson Travis Reaves; his great grandchild Corban Lacey; and his siblings, Florence, Fae, Harold, John and Earl.
He is survived by: his children, David (Donna) of Lynd, MN, Leo (Julie) of Brandt Lake, SD, Eugene (Cheryl) of Valley Springs, SD, Beverly Lacey (Ted) of Trent, SD, Betty Fiegen (John) of Dell Rapids, SD, Bonnie Salonen (Rick) of Brookings, SD and Peggy Keller (Scott) of Renner, SD. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
