He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Cone Jr. and Virgie Cone (Hoover). He is survived by: his wife Peggy Scofield; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Kneebone Amburn and Carol Price. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews.
Together, they taught in the Ruthven Iowa School System before Bill began working for the American Cancer Society in Mason City, IA, in 1965.
