He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Hillmer and Margarette Hillmer (Tiny); his wife Jean Crain; his siblings, Betty (Alvin Millard), Shirley (Paul Bergeson) and Janice Kilbourn; his nephew Corky Bergeson; his brother-in-law Ed Crain; and his in-laws, Harry and Ila Crain.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Weber (Roger), Tammy Rose (Aaron) and Susan Taylor (Randy Taylor); his granddaughter Amber Lein (Nick); his son Lane; his grandchildren, Mila, Mickey, Emily Rose and Dillon Taylor (Danielle); his sons, Lincoln, Noah and Sydnie Taylor; his brother Dick Hillmer (Lila); and his in-laws, Karen Tassler (Don) and Ron Crain (Carol). He is also survived by His 6 grand kids, 5 great grandkids, and serval nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Isburg Funeral Chapels (439 S Pierre St, Pierre, SD 57501). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
