He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Ragatz and Carol Ragatz (Duerkop); his parents-in-law, Dale and Arlene Zubke; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Zubke, Myra Zubke and Lois Zubke.

He is survived by: his wife Lois Ragatz of Frankfort, SD; his child Ryan Ragatz (Jackie); his grandchildren, Cooper, Emmie and Braylee of Frankfort, SD; his daughter Jennifer Merron (Mike); his grandchildren, Teagan, Jackson, Nora and Raya of Sioux Falls, SD; his son Eric Ragatz (Shayna); his granddaughter Charlotte of Watertown, SD.; and his siblings, Brenda Mason (Zane) and Jim Ragatz (Rose). He is also survived by many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
