He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Hoerner and Louise Hoerner; his wife Mary; his brothers, Ray and Paul; and his sister-in-law Barbara.
He is survived by: his children, Mark (Sandy) of Frederick, JoAnn (Mike) of Rapid City, Bernice (John) of Bridgewater, Louise (Rob) of Aberdeen and GeorgieAnn (Jesse) of Mount Pleasant, SC; and his brother Norbert (Rosie). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A wake will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Schriver's Memorial Chapel (414 5th Ave NW, Aberdeen, SD 57401). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (502 2nd Ave SE, Aberdeen, SD 57401).
