He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Haag and Rose Haag; and his daughter Diane Haag. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Haag of Mitchell; his children, Michael Haag (Carolyn) of Fulton, Linda Wilkins of Fulton, Janet Kampshoff, Lenny of Fulton, Barbara Schulte (David) of Mitchell, Michelle Buehner (Kevin) of Brandon, Kevin Haag (Tracy) of Mitchell and Karen Nedved (Dwight); his siblings, Brooks, Gary Haag (Amy) of Fulton, Denise Hughes of Mitchell, Daniel Haag (Nichole) of Montrose, Susan Holsworth (Chad) of Bowdle, Terrance Haag of Fulton, Chad Haag (Sherry) and Allen Haag (Ann) of Ethan; and his sisters-in-law, Alida (Ivan) of Parkston and Roseann (Donald) of Sturgis. He is also survived by 54 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren; and soon to be one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Prayer Service Holy Family Catholic Church (222 N Kimball St, Mitchell, SD 57301). A prayer was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (222 N Kimball St, Mitchell, SD 57301).
