She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Thulin and June Thulin (DeVoe); her brother Orville Thulin; and her brother-in-law Roger Olund. She is survived by: her husband James DeBates; her children, Angela Kringen (Gregg), Aimee Noeske (James), Audrey Wohlleber (Dave), Keith (Susan) and Kevin; and her sisters, Barb Olund and Betty Julson (Robert).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home (101 Leslie Dr, Garretson, SD 57030). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (705 3rd St, Garretson, SD 57030).
In lieu of flowers family request memorials which will be directed to St. Rose of Lima Church, Garretson Food Pantry, Garretson Parks, Garretson Community Ambulance and Garretson Fire Dept.
