With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gordon Duane Aaker of Garretson, South Dakota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Irwin Aaker and Milla Aaker (Lowe); and his brothers, Arthur, Lawrence and Roger.
He is survived by: his close friends, Autumn, Doug Gaspar and Amanda Foster. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home (101 Leslie Dr, Garretson, SD 57030). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Palisade Lutheran Church Cemetery (211 121st St, Garretson, SD 57030).
In lieu of flowers and plants, the family invites you to honor Gordy's memory by sharing a story, enjoying a morning coffee with friends, or visiting Devils Gulch to hear the legend he so loved to tell.
