Janice Fulton Howd Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Fulton Howd of Garretson, South Dakota, who passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kermit Fulton and Viola Fulton; and her siblings, Robert Fulton and Jo Ann Verts. She is survived by: her children, La Leche League and Boy Scouts; her husband John Howd; her children, Angela Tooley (Matt) of Sioux Falls, Mark Howd of Sioux Falls and Daniel Howd (Kendra) of Sioux Falls; her granddaughter Bethany Tooley (Austen Bechler) of Buffalo Center, Iowa; her children, Nicholas Tooley of Sioux Falls, Jacob Tooley of Sioux Falls, Elliott Howd of Sioux Falls, Lionel Howd of Sioux Falls, Phoenix Wilson of Sioux Falls, Simon Wilson of Sioux Falls, Foster Howd of Sioux Falls and Alyda Howd of Sioux Falls; and her siblings, Don Fulton and Jean Arnovich of Traskwood, Arkansas.. She is also survived by children and grandchildren.

In recognition of her dedication and service, she was honored with the Distinguished Service Award from the National Lung Association.
