It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glen W. Emmert of Gettysburg, South Dakota, born in Watertown, South Dakota, who passed away on March 23, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Emmert and Inga Emmert (Jorgensen); his wife Janice Marie Kessler; his sister Doris Quigley; and his son-in-law Dean Hanson.
He is survived by : his children, David Emmert (Priscilla) of Mitchell, SD, Mark Emmert (Theresa) of Lincoln, NE, Sandra Wager of Gettysburg, Jackie Hanson of Gettysburg, Julie Fleck (Jim) of Mandan, ND and Jodie Miles (Jeff) of Conde, SD; his grandchildren, Melissa Schied (Jon), Kerry Wager (Rachel), Katie Abbas (Steve), Kimberlee Emmert (Jody Lockwood), John Emmert (Dezirae), Joe Emmert (Stephanie), Jason Hanson (Keri), Brittany Luder (Jeremy), Travis Fleck, Tony Fleck (Liz), Morgan Schmidt (Andrew), Brooke Gunesh (Kishan), Brady Miles, Bailey Masat (Garrett) and Libbey Miles; his sister Helen Gisselbeck; and his siblings-in-law, Ed Kessler (Joanne), Bernice Wald, Marv Luoma, Carol Moffenbier, Dale Kessler (Linda) and Carol Kessler. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.
