He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale McKiver and Marjorie McKiver (Fritz); his grandmother Minnie; his brothers, Kenneth and Jake McKiver (Renee); and his parents-in-law, Bruce Johnson and Lucille Siefkes.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Johnson; his children, Cindy Hoops (Kyle) of Cedarburg and Allen McKiver, Jr. (Colleen) of Aberdeen; his grandchildren, Kayla Waller (Aaron), Alex McKiver, Tyler Hoops (Gabriela), Naomi McKiver and Jack McKiver; his siblings, Sharon Sombke (Larry), Nancy Walters (Merle), Bill McKiver, Gloria Huber (Bernie), Carla Ronning and Gail Zeck (John); and his sister-in-law Deb McKiver. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Memorials directed to Sherry (1714 Stewart Drive, Box F-6, Aberdeen, SD 57401-0203) will be donated to the Groton High School Robotics Club in Al's name.
