She is survived by: her husband Richard Helmer; her children, Deborah Utecht (Robert) of Naperville, IL, Richard Helmer (Dee) of Geneva, IL, Pamela Merkel (Bruce) of Andover, SD and Cheryl Wold of Aberdeen, SD; her grandchildren, Eric Utecht, Brad Utecht (Claire), Nicholas Helmer (Maggie), Lanny Merkel (Becki), Brett Merkel (Micaela), Julia Wold and Jordan Wold; her great grandchildren, Henry Utecht, Penelope Helmer, Sebastian Helmer, Justin Merkel (Lorelei Bohlin), Lillian Merkel, Mac Merkel and Olivia Merkel; and her sister Jean Likness (Bruce). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
