With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Charles Slack (Harrisburg, South Dakota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 17, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In bidding Richard Charles adieu, let us not mourn the silence that now fills the spaces Richard Charles once occupied, but rather celebrate the vibrant colors he painted upon the canvas of our lives. For while he may have departed from this earthly realm, his spirit remains a beacon of light, guiding us through the darkest of nights.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anderson Jones Corcoran Harrisburg Funeral Chapel (110 E Willow St, Harrisburg, SD 57032). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Harrisburg United Methodist Church (204 Grand Ave, Harrisburg, SD 57032).

Memorials may be directed to Harrisburg American Legion Post 45, Harrisburg Fire Department or Canton Senior Center.
