It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Cook of Harrisburg, South Dakota, who passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Richard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Richard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Don G Cook and Elizabeth W. Cook (Winans); his siblings, Mary and Robert; and his pet Bentley.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah D Cook (Kelley); and his pets, Karma, Skye and Halo.
In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made in his name to any local animal rescue.
