He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Harvey, June Schwarting (Woods), Robert, Phyllis Brodie, Donald and Theresa DeHaan; his aunt Tamara Kunze; his cousin Matthew DeHaan; his sister Hillary Ann; and his uncle Clyde Dean Schwarting.
He is survived by: his parents, Linda Schwarting of Sturgis, SD and Brian Brodie; his stepmother Kathy Brodie of Sioux Falls, SD; the mother of his children Britanee Mientkewicz; his children, Liam Mientkewicz and Layla Brodie; his brothers, Tim Edgar and Scott Brodie; and his siblings' children, Conner Crosgrove and Breann Pomerenke.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
