Gary Hobert Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Gary Hobert of Harrold, South Dakota. Gary, born on September 24, 1954, passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Debra Kay Hobert; his parents, Orville Hobert and Rita Hobert (Mootz); his in-laws, Woodrow "Red" and Grace Heintz; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Heintz, Dale Hegg and Steve Hurn.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Hobert (April) of Hoven and Scott Hobert (Adie) of Jamestown; his siblings, David Hobert (Barb) of Harrold, Jennifer Hegg of Rapid City, Carla Hurn of Verona and Roxanne Cloud (Scott) of Wentworth, Missouri; his sister-in-law Patti Heintz of Pierre; and his grandchildren, Xavier Hobert of Watertown, Easton, Beckett Hobert of Hoven, Henry Hobert of Jamestown and Madelyn Reinarts of Lincoln, Nebraska.. He is also survived by four nephews and eleven nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harrold School (206 S Nixon Ave, Harrold, SD 57536). A prayer was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
