He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Seppala and Ruby Seppala (Lindgren); his sister Gail Hopfinger (Randy); his brothers-in-law, Randy Hopfinger and James Belkonen; and his niece Nikki Nagel.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Mina Bull; his children, Joel Seppala (Melissa) of Omaha, NE, Timothy Seppala of Napavine, WA and Victoria Fischer (Brad) of Watertown; his grandchildren, Thomas Seppala, Jacob Seppala, Payton Seppala, Katelyn Seppala, Caroline Seppala, Gabriel Seppala, Avalee Seppala, Riggs Fischer and Ryett Fischer; his sisters, Jacqueline Nagel (Lon) of Mankato, MN and Vicki Belkonen of Aurora, CO; and his nieces and nephews, Shane Nagel (Tammy), Scott Hopfinger (Carisa), Jessica Heard (Ryan), Stacy Hibben (Mike) and Sara Weischedel (Wayne).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crawford - Osthus Funeral Chapel (1311 4th St NE, Watertown, SD 57201). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Hayti Lutheran Church (203 Redbird Ave, Hayti, SD 57241).
