It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillian R. Koistinen of Hayti, South Dakota, born in Rice, Washington, who passed away on June 8, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Raymond and Ruth Elizabeth Heidegger (Abernathy); her siblings, Albert, Paul, Margaret Paladeni, Raydene McDaniels and Hope; her siblings-in-law, Pete Paladeni, Clarence Jolma, Byron Koistinen, Earl McDaniels, Dorothy Heidegger and Ruth Koistinen; her grandchildren, Nathan Koistinen and Randa Haak; and her sons-in-law, Loren Kysar and Craig Haak.
She is survived by : her children, Debra Kopman (Dale) of Hayti, Raymond Koistinen (Corine) of Woodland, WA, Richard Koistinen (Sharon) of Hayti, Sandra Blakeman (Ben) of Hayti, Larry Koistinen (Roseanna) of Belle Fourche, SD, Harold Koistinen (Rachel) of Hayti, Jerald Koistinen (Charlyn) of Hayti, James Koistinen (Jill) of Woodland, WA, Judy Ritola (Rich) of Battle Ground, WA, Ronald Koistinen (Deedee) of Hayti and Kristi Kysar (Derek) of Yacolt, WA; her siblings, Harold Heidegger (Mary), Barbara Jolma and Faith Kangas (David); and her sisters-in-law, Shelley Heidegger and Yvonne Heidegger. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
