Leif N. Eidsness Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leif N. Eidsness of Henry, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 25, 2025 at the age of 104. In the sacred silence of farewell, Leif is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Leif's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole Eidsness and Anna Eidsness (Mjos); his wife Callie Lou Rider; and his siblings, Hans, Art, Berdelle Schmidkunz, Bella Anderson and Selma Lantsberger.
He is survived by: his children, Myron Eidsness (Diane) of Henry, Becky Barthel (Jeff) of Watertown and Joe Eidsness (Sue) of St. Louis, MO.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crawford - Osthus Funeral Chapel (1311 4th St NE, Watertown, SD 57201). A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (407 Clark St, Vienna, SD 57271).
