He is survived by: his wife Dianna J. Kost; his children, Wanda Berndt (Steven) of Herreid and Kirk Quaschnick (Sonja) of Frisco, TX.; his grandchildren, Nicholas Berndt (Jessica), Jennifer Rhoden (Shawn), Jordan, Jeremy, Jonah Quaschnick, Alexandra Gale (Andy) and Mikaela Baker; his great grandchildren, Maverick and Gabriel Berndt; his grandchildren, Emily, Jacob and Aurora Rhoden; and his siblings-in-law, Merle Kost (Betty), Jerome Pfeiffer (Joyce) of Aberdeen, SD, Mavis Knoepfle, Arley Trautman of Eureka, SD, Leslie Knoepfle, Bennie Trautman and Della Kary (LeRoy).
