She was predeceased by : her parents, Margaretha (Weller) and John J. Heiser; her husband Emil Schaffer; her daughter Lorraine Leidholt; her siblings, Walter, Art, Herbert, Otillia Horst, Edna Schaeffer, Alma Heinrich, Martha Wiedmeier, Amanda Mayer, Hilda Stadel, Anna Bitz, Ella Bader and Katheryn Mettler; and her son-in-law Aaron Rau.
She is survived by : her son-in-law David; her children, Roger Schaffer of Wetumka, AL, Allen Schaffer of Herreid, Lester Schaffer of Crooks, SD, Dan Schaffer of Grand Forks, ND, Randy Schaffer of Aberdeen, SD, Phyliss Erdmann (Paul), Nora Schaffer of Aberdeen, Linda Huft (David), Carol Becker (Jon) of Pierre, SD and Margie Rau of Kief, ND; her sisters, Irene Knapp and Elsie Mettler (Merle) of Rapid City, SD; her grandchildren, Mike Erdmann, Jason Erdmann, Kevin Erdmann, Sarah Erdmann, Nathan Huft, Sam Rau, Marita Erman, Jacob Rau, Heidi Becker and Hannah Becker; her nephews, Darrell Bader of Appleton, MN and Craig Schaffer of Mound City; and her grandsons, Evan Becker of Pierre, Fredrick Rau of Bismarck, ND, Jonathan Huft of Spearfish, SD and Jim Erdmann of Horace, ND.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
