He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Marie (Dan) of Herrick, SD and Brenda Sangster of Dante, SD.; his granddaughters, Dana Byrd (Travis) of Mitchell, SD, Chelsa Jons (Dan) and Mandy VanHill (Kelvin) of Herrick, SD.; his great grandchildren, Kaleb, Alivia, Wesley Byrd, Jase, Sadie, Dakota, Hallie Jons, Kaylee, Briggs, Etta Van Hill, Makayla Montoya (Sebastian), Gio and Rachel; and his sister Elaine Mahanke of Burke, SD.
