He is survived by: his wife Rita Mae Rathjen of Hitchcock; his children, Eileen "Dode" Waldner, Jeannie Shultz (Darin) of Sioux Falls, Jeffrey "Bunk" Waldner (Angela) of Hitchcock and Rod Kretchmer of Huron; his grandchildren, Nate Peterson (Sarah Tschetter), Jordy Peterson (Cassidy), Shanae LaMont (Brady), Dawson Sharp, Elexis Shultz, Avarie, Breckan and Grady Waldner; his great grandchildren, Walker LaMont and Jett Peterson; and his sister Sandra Blume of Redfield.
Memorials can be made in memory of Ray Waldner to Hitchcock Methodist Church.
